The largest Russian open air dedicated to jazz and funk, worldmusic and soul, indie and electronics this summer will take place for the FIFTEENTH time! The whole course of our life is changing, historical epochs and generations are changing, but the JAZZ ESTATE remains a favorite celebration of music and creativity for many thousands of people across the country, an event that is awaited for a whole year.

On the first weekend of this summer, the festival of music in Arkhangelskoye will take place again and will last, as before, a whole weekend! This year, guests of the festival will have a special musical program on as many as SIX stages, in which there was a place for the most diverse and, of course, only the best music!

For the first time in Russia, The New Power Generation will perform at the JAZZ ESTATE Jubilee festival with the Celebrating Prince program (USA)! Since 1990, this legendary band has accompanied all the performances of the musical idol of the entire Prince era. On June 2, the songs Purple Rain, Nothing Compares 2U and the artist’s immortal hits will be performed in Arkhangelskoye.

Favorite musicians of various genres will traditionally perform on the largest stage “Parterre”, such as the popular singer Yolka, who will perform a special program specially prepared for the festival. A striking discovery will be the group AYWA (France), playing traditional songs of the Maghreb countries with added elements of funk, reggae and rock. The singer Peruquois (Australia) will perform with a jazz line-up and an unusual program. Another of the headliners will be the legendary AuktsYon group, which, by the way, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The former lead singer of 5’Nizza SunSay and singer Manizha will also perform on the Parterre stage.

On the stage “Aristocrat” will perform the virtuoso bassist Richard Bona and his team (USA), already beloved by the guests of the festival; Alexey Arkhipovsky is a musician, in whose hands the balalaika acquired a completely special sound and is capable of imitating any other instrument; Mark Eliyahu (Israel), who plays kemancha, which is in the top list of world music on soundcloud; New York saxophonist Donny McCaslin (USA), who participated in the recording of David Bowie’s last lifetime album Blackstar; one of the most famous Russian jazzmen in the world Igor Butman with his quintet; Jacob Collier (Great Britain), who became famous thanks to videos on Youtube, but once he was simply noticed on Instagram not by someone, but by the legendary Quincy Jones. Now the most promising young jazz musician already has two Grammy awards.

On the stage of the Jazz Club, Russian musicians, beloved by visitors to jazz clubs and JAZZ ESTATE, will be presented. The first day of the festival will be dominated by more traditional jazz – from swing to post-bop. On the second day, here you can hear interesting experiments in mixing jazz with electronics, for example, incredible energy sets Jazz Between and Jazzve, a performance by Danila Nikitin’s band “21pm”, Under Influence, CottonAir, JazzFriends, as well as world music, including incendiary dances and rhythms of the peoples of the world.

A separate, special and almost intimate stage will be the “Apartment House at Syomushkina”, where the president and ideological inspirer of the festival, Maria Semushkina, will gather the most talented musicians who have already become real residents of the apartment house, such as, for example, Groove Garden and Diana Polenova. Magic synthesis, an atmosphere of co-creation, improvisation will reign on this completely unique site.

ESTATE JAZZ is a family festival, including the smallest ones, for whom a special musical space has been created – the stage of the Manor Jazz Kids, whose young guests will make an exciting journey to Africa, to the Caribbean Islands, to Odessa at the beginning of the last century, as well as to Harlem from the childhood Ella Fitzgerald. Children and their parents will meet with the Klezmasters Orchestra from Odessa, Enсemble Cubano, the Zaliv Kita group and, of course, with real jazz divas Sasha Magerova, Alina Rostotskaya and Eteri Beriashvili.

In addition, there is a market, a food court and a lot of entertainment for the whole family as always. The festival will unite around itself a variety of bright and creative people: artists, poets, designers.
